As one of his final 62 resolutions, Brown hired a Deputy Finance Director, Antonio C. Brown, at a salary of $62,000 a year. While Brown seems to have the financial credentials, he doesn't appear to have municipal finance experience.
Is there a trend here. Tracy Atkinson was hired when it was said she was having financial problems with her book store. Pages, in downtown Flint. She had a SBA loan through a local bank and a banking official told some that atkinson defaulted on the loan. She held two jobs when first hired and ir has been said she fudged her timesheets. Nothing happened although David Dicks was indicted for double-dipping.
Now Croft is hired by Flint when he has serious financial issues.
Antonio C. Brown is shown as having his own accounting firm at 703 Grand Traverse.
Does Brown have an affirmative action plan for struggling downtown entrepreneurs? |
