NBC 25 pays its new sales associates LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE. I bet most of them don't even know it.
They were reported to Wage and Labor and had to give back pay for months of labor below minimum wage.
Here's what they do: They say they are paying you a salary of, say, 25K. Then they give you sales targets (very aggressive) with the presumption that the 25K is dependent on meeting the targets. If you don't make the targets, they dock your pay. At the same time, they require you to go to the office every day, 40 hours a week, training, sales meetings, conferences, etc.
So you could go to work for 2 weeks, and then miss your sales target, and they would dock you so much pay that your take home would be less than $6 an hour. Horrible.
And don't even get me started on Job Corps, that would take pages. |

Anyone who works for these people is set up for failure. |

When did BFE move to Alaska?
Also, the Journal has their sales & marketing people working out of their cars & homes. |

People who stay with the Journal are gluttons for punishment. Our Journal workers weren't even smart enough to file a class action lawsuit upon breaking of the "Job Pledge"; workers at dozens of other newspapers did so for the same offense.
And I'd actually prefer to work out of my car than be micromanaged in their Big Brother environment (watching your emails, calls, bathroom breaks, etc.).
Oh. And that building is poison. |

Tell my son that; he spent 26 years there. Dumped the end of March & still looking for another job. |

I got dumped long before that, sorry to hear it. Sounds like at least he'll get a pension? I wasn't there long enough to be vested.
I pretty much stopped looking for a job. This entire market feels like it's WHO YOU KNOW. I hate that ass kissing bullshit. |

He's vested, but I don't know how much he would get, or when he can start drawing it.
Who you know - yeah, he's ran into that at career alliance. |

I have been told that Sam's Club will soon have a case filed against them for racial discrimination and wrongful discharge of a young African American male. |
