Admirable step taken. In order to bind the crime, crime dept. have to think and act beyond the boundaries otherwise crime will engulf the society. |

Davvy- The only problem is many people have left because they say it is the same as the failed groups before. New people come because they have not been through this time and time again. When I read the agenda, I thought they had not updated it. However mostly all the group did was rehash previous meetings. It takes more planning, preparation and vision to pull this off and it does not seem to be there.
Chris DelMorone was called in in the 11th hour to speak about the Board of Review.
On the other hand consultant Audrey martini is working on a project in the 3rd ward that just might work. No matter how successful it is on reducing crime, it will definitely improve the quality of life |

The City of Flint has a website that for the most part is badly outdated.
So to update everyone there is a new site:
www.flintbluebadge.com
You can reach coplogic oon this site also
calls for service are going down as 911 requests people use Coplogic to self report specific crimes. This relects a change in the policies and procedures as police no longer respond to all calls. When some calls back up, a supervisor can clear the que after 6 hours.
In response to the excessive number of shots fired calls and violence on the east side, it appears the new state troopers are unable to penetrate this "hotspot".
Also the city has apparently abandoned the use of cameras in high crime areas. The North east CDC (which Brown dissolved) had money allocated for cameras to be placed on saginaw street and were never able to receive them. |
