Topic: Who pays for city incompetance with water?

I often visit friends in Fairfield Village. For several months I have noticed water running down a small hill from 849 E Seventh into the intersection at Avon. Well I nearly spun out the other day going through that intersection as all of that water had turned into ice and the intersection was downright dangerous.

When I first saw the water I drove by to see where it was coming from and I could see the water bubbling up fom a hole in the street. I shudder to think about how much the city is paying for all of that "water lost in the system". It would appear this is a city issue and considering the liability, it should quickly be prepared. I watched as an MTA bus performed evasive manuevers to manage the ice patch.

How much liability is the city incurring when they don't repair water leaks in the winter and let emergency patches in the streets erode into dangerous situations. Obviously Brown created these potential liability issues when he appointed his friends into positions in the DPW when they have no idea what they are doing.

The residents have been calling it in for months. Howard Croft and Daugherty Johnson can't decide what to do, so the water keeps on running.
