Author    Post   untanglingwebs El Supremo Luckily I ran into the new School Superintendent Larry Watkins at Sam's Club today. I told him how upset I was that the School of Choice and alternate education was moving into Northern. I live in the new Northern neighborhood and was concerned that the crime associated with the Zimmerman Center would move into my area. When Watkins asked where I lived he told me where he lives and he is far closer than I am. He detailed the problems with the Zimmerman Center and told how the students had terrorized the community there. In his analysis the Zimmerman center was located on a main highway and in a residential area. At Northern the students could be isolated more. He also has a plan to keep them out of the neighborhood, which he is wisely keeping silent about for now. I have known and respected Watkins for many years. He is an honorable man, unlike some previous superintendents. I trust his decision as he appears to have put considerable research and thought into his plan.
