It seems like every night is filled with calls of shots fired, despite the fact that many neighborhoods have given up on calling in these complaints. it doesn't help that the fireworks store on miller Rd is now open all of the time and some callers cannot tell if gunshots or fireworks. Also, not all of the shots are in the evening. More and more there are shots fired at all times of the day.

Why anyone would use the BP station on Clio at night is beyond me. Early this morning they had another carjacking. Technology used cell phone pings to locate the car in the 600 block of E Dartmouth. After a foot chase, the MSP caught the suspect near Genesee and Avenue A.

Last night there was reports of shots fired::

2200 block of Hoff
Downey and Tipton
500 Baltimore
Maplewood & Davison
2300 or 2400 bock S Dort
Foss & Industrial

Several people reported a man carrying a shotgun in a rug in the vicinity of Lavender & Stevenson

A bi-racial female stabbed another female with a screwdriver at M L King and White

15 to 20 teens fought at jamieson & Iroquois

This morning was no better with shots fired:

600 block Moore
600 block Van Wagoner

A man broke out the windows of his ex-girlfriends car in the 3200 block of Miller rd and he stabbed her in the face.

Watch out playing a bluff as someone ay call you on it. The shots fired on Van Wagoner were the result of an observer pulling a gun on people stripping a house and using an older red Dodge pick up. They shot at his residence as they left.

And it was barely 10 am when people started fighting in front of the family dollar store in the 700 block of Pierson.

The Welch Blvd area had complaints of shots fired but they could not pinpoint the exact vicinity of th shots.

FLINT, MI -- Two men were found guilty in the January 2012 murders of Oscar Knuckles, Jr., 25, and Amyre Aikins, 23.
Steven Webster, 27, was found guilty of first degree murder and William Evans, 22, was convicted of second degree murder on Friday, according to court records.

Knuckles and Aikins were found near a burning car on Raskob Street near Ballenger Highway. Aikins was shot six times and Knuckles was shot three, including one in the head, according to earlier testimony.

Both men were found not guilty of armed robbery and carjacking charges.

Webster will be sentenced to the mandatory life in prison, while Evans faces up to life in prison.

Sentencing will take place June 25.

Also an attempted Home invasion failed on Joyner, so they shot into the house.

Michigan State Police returned fire when a shooting suspect also fired on them about 9:53 last night in the Evergreen Regencies off S. Lippincott. The suspect is dead.

The encounter can be reviewed on Genesee County Scanner. Multiple agencies responded to the initial call and I understand the shots fired at the troopers and their return salvo can be heard on the 911 audio.

This occurred in the 2300 block of Devon. The Regencies are the site for many violence calls per week.

State Troopers were shot at multiple times last year, primarily in urban areas. A trooper was shot in the abdomen April 4, 2012 in Flint outside Brothers market near Stewart.

A routine traffic stop in Saginaw resulted in an exchange of gunfire between a trooper and a suspect. The trooper was shot in the arm and neck. The suspect was killed.

Last November a suspect fired an AK-47 at troopers. This is only a hint at how dangerous the job of policing is as there were many more incidents.

There needs to be a study of Flint Housing policies and an effort made to make these public housing units safer. If felons move in with people who live here and they have not been vetted or are not on the lease, then everyone in that unit should be evicted. The federal housing units are supposed to be a zero tolerance for drug dealers. Enforce the rules.

I am becoming increasingly concerned about the number of phony 911 calls being made in Flint. Police arrive and nothing is happening. Maybe I watch too many cop shows, but I am suspicious about these calls. Are the criminals testing the police response? Are the criminals directing offices away from another location on purpose. Or is there a worse scenario and will officers be targeted in the future?

You could say the writing is on the wall. Graffiti off Franklin by Lowell School threatens officers not to enter that area. They ignore it, but what if the threats become real.

One block east of Pierson and Fleming is Kermit Street. I mention this because ths area is often the scene of violence and death. The buildin's west end has a party store and the east end was once a dry cleaners and laundry that has been closed for years.

The east wall states "K-Block out$iders enter at own risk" Drug activit here as evidenced by all of the dollar signs. But if you drive north on Kermit, you don't have a horribly blighted neighborhood. Most of the housing is well maintained.

It is a different matter when you go south of Pierson toward the east side of Flint Park Lake. Lots of demolitions, open and abandoned housing and graffiti for KSG. I am assuming that stands for Kermit Street Gang.

Just North of the store on Fleming is a white building. I once found the entire roster for the Nutty North on the back of this building. Most members used their initial, hyphen and Nutty as their street names. The Howard boys indictments had a suspect with the street name of J-Nutty.

The Sunoco station at Pasadena and Milbourne also has warnings to not enter the back area. A violent area, it is not uncommon to see drug dealers outside the station.

WOW! I was by there recently and it was open. They already vandalized the restaurant area so expect this whole building to be gutted out. This is after all Merrill Hood!

This store opened up when Williamson was in office. The owners paid a lot to assemble the land and change zoning. They had stop work orders when they made additions that were not approved and paved the parkway to add additional parking spaces.

They were having trouble getting some issues through council so the owner signed a contract with Eric Mays to lobby council. The $10,000 contract was only worth half or $5,000 if Eric could not get council approval. The owners should have considered location, location, location as they have had a multitude of problems in this location.

This was a huge investment down the drain.

Looked at FPO- The Sunoco station at the 1000 block of Pasadena had an alarm call before noon today. Won't be long and nothing will be left.

There was an update on the shooting suspect in the 400 block of Page street Friday. The suspect is driving a 2003 silver Chevrolet Avalanche. He is armed and dangerous and said to hang out in the Chevrolet and Mackin Road area. He has changed license plates on the vehicle.

Shots were fired in the Page and Adams area earlier today. Also a man in a brown sweat suit with a 40 caliber weapon was sitting under a tree in the 1200 block of Chevrolet (near Welch)

Face Book and other sites are warning residents that people posing as Consumers are attempting to gain entry into homes.

Dog fighting in a home in the 300 block of W. Witherbee. Several land Bank homes in that area.

"Hitman" must be a popular street name. FPO reported a prostitute in the vicinity of Franklin near Oklahoma and Colorado. Commenters named her pimp as "hitman" and that he lives in the apartments there. This is across from the old Lowell School. The first house on the north side going west on Colorado from Franklin has graffiti threatening police.

"Hitman" was a street name for one of the Howard Boyz. Also Hitman is a name painted on the building at Pierson and Kermit (the K Block).

Local video producer Rapheal King Mondo Robinson had the police called on him again! Seems his scene of three black males dragging another under the bridge by the college campus looked so real that students called it in. This is not the first time this has happened. Good thing the cops are getting to know him.

Cheers Party Store on the 2800 block of Court continues to have issues. Last night they called in two black males who were selling drugs in their parking lot.

Tonight there were 5 people fighting in their lot. Two females filed cross complaints against one another with one alleging the other tried to hit her with a car.

The neighborhood is seriously changing.
