Flint voters must decide on Aug. 3 whether they back a proposal to bring an Indian casino to the city. Some of its possible results:
GOVERNMENT: Flint, Genesee County and the Genesee Intermediate School District would split 2 percent of net winnings - which, based on experts' predictions of at least $200 million in annual revenue, would be $4 million. The city would also get new revenue from income taxes from casino workers.
JOBS: 2,000 new jobs, although one expert predicts a 1,600 net job loss in the community overall.
SPINOFF DEVELOPMENT: A convention center, hotel, movie theaters, golf course, water park and condos have been discussed, but experts say that could happen only if Flint becomes more of a tourist destination.
